mpc 2500 pad sensor first series vs second series

hello

i'm thinking to replace my mpc pad sensors and pads, i've seen on mpc stuff they are selling the second series pad sensor, i think my mpc has the first series.

which are the difference? is better the second series? why?

my pads give me some problems, sometimes they trigger more pads at once.. one times it started triggering all pads and after a month or so.. they were normal.

now is a year i have almost no problem, but sometimes happen.

this is a problem that will be fixed changing the pad sensors and the pads?

i also feel it isn't very responsive and the pads are hard.. i've tried a mpc 1000 new and the pads were soft and responsive.

the mpc 1000 pads are better?

i also want to know if there are other places where buy mpc2500 pad sensors (second series) and colored pads other than mpcstuff (some cheaper place)

i think thats bullSh*t.. i never heard that there is 2 diferent pad sensors sets for the 2500..
on MPCstuff they only have the suposed 2ª series.. where is the first. they are problably the same.

yeah I actually have two different 2500's at my house opened up right now. a 2005 model and a late 2006 model. and the pad sensors ARE different for sure.

The ONLY real different I see however it the Ribbon that comes off of the sensor sheet itself. Or course that effects the connector size on the sensor board located under the sensor tray, however ALL of the wiring leaving the sensor board going to the PC board of both mpc's is IDENTICAL.

So perhaps they just had bad results with the older pad sensor sheets themselves and had a different company make them.

TO my knowledge the Sensitronics sensors are the NEWER version 2 sensors and have a much smaller ribbon connector lead. The older larger ribbon lead is the gen 1 pad sensors and are made by interlink i believe.

I could be wrong about that, but Im basing off of the fact that my late 2006 model mpc2500 has Sensitronics Pad Sensors with the smaller ribbon cable end, and the Older early 2005 mpc2500 has the Interlink sensor pads with the larger ribbon cable end. Like the one shown in the mpcstuff link that mattian posted.

I'll do some digging and see if I can confirm this. but If i had to make a split second choice right now of which to buy as a replacement, it would be the sentronics.. keep in mind. I could be wrong.

EDIT: PLEASE keep in mind that mpcstuff is very slack with posting the correct pictures of products. they post similar images to get a msg across, not the EXACT product. so While that link is for the 2nd gen pads, it actually pictures the FIRST GEN pads,and it specifically states the pic is of 2000xl pads. And Interlink sensors are shown there. This is why I think I am RIGHT about the Sensitronics pads being the most recent, 2nd gen version. (that and what I said above about 2005/2006 2500 models.)

These are the Newer Gen 2 Sensitronics pad sensors. note the smaller ribbon cable end and newer product compatibility.

I believe these sensitronics pads are the same ones in the mpd16, as well as the mpd24/32.
So a CHEAP way to purchase them to replace bad ones in your 2500 would be to purchase a used mpd16.
those go for like 30-50 bucks on ebay all day. Or spend around 75 shipped for some brand new ones.

HOWEVER.. mattian.. in order to confirm which sensors YOU need. You'll need to either A) find out the production date of your mpc, or B) the more reliable way is to open her up, and look at the ribbon cable width. Easy.
