MPC 2500 slowing down with age?

Just a quick question to all you 2500 heads out there... ...have any of you found that your MPC is operating (i.e. loading, chopping, saving, etc.) more slowly than it did when you first purchased the unit? I downloaded the operating system file from the manufacturer again and restored the sytem to the original factory settings, but nothing seems to help. Sorry if I'm not being descriptive enough, it just feels like she's not running as well as she used to. Any suggestions to improve speed/relatively "simple" maintenance steps I can take to improve the unit's functionality. Please let me know! Thank you noble MPC 2500 heads!

I have had my 2500 for over 1yr and it still works the way it did from day 1.

yeah.. it has always worked well up to now (probably 2 1/2 - 3 years) of 3-4 hours/day minimum... ...and it's only started happening recently, perhaps it's time to call VST...

i've had mine since march 07, still haven't had a problem

Slight performance drop seems unlikely, unless it's REALLY having some kind of issue-- but that would be more definite when you notice.

It's probably an issue with how your using the machine, compared to when you first bought it. Are you loading/saving larger samples/projects? Do you have a large autoload? Sequencing more midi gear than you used to? Blah blah blah...?
