Hi everybody,
I bought a second hand MPC 2500 recently and I have some old Akai Sample Cds from the 90ties. How do I import these ROMs?
When I put them in the CD drive they are not recognized, nothing happens. I can import files from an audio CD, so the CD drive seems to be o.k.
I have the original Akai OS 1.24. Could it be, that a Akai MPC can not load ..aehm... Akai CD Roms?
If this is true (I hope not), can the JJOS everybody is talking about do the trick?

Hi You cannot Import these CDs directly

The 2500 only read .wav Files in 44khz 16bit and the MPC 2000 Files
So you must convert your old Sample CDs in these Files

And a Tip from me...........take the Search Funktion. It helps you lot

O.K. that sounds bad, but how do I convert the sounds but also maintain the program associations, keymappings etc.? Do you know a useful os x application that will do that? Whats with the jjos? Same problem?

For Keymappings you must upgrade to the MPC 4000 or 5000 with the new OS2.0
The MPC 2500 doesnt have these Features. OK?

I Dont have a Mac. Take the Search

IN JJOS it is the same
