MPC and MPK49

could someone tell me how to play my sounds that are xontained within my mpc with my midi keyboard controller? I plug my keyboard into midi out or midi in? Then how do I trigger the sounds do I have to switch drum to midi or switch the midi to 1a? I'm new to this and I can't find this information in the owners manual

Thanks but this addendum still doesn't have what I'm looking for all I want to do is hook up my midi keyboard and play piano or strings on my shit...I have the triton and yamaha motif wave files....how do I play these sounds with my midi keyboard?

Skitz, how many more times must you be told?

a) to post in the correct forum.

b) to read the manual, it covers the basics pretty well.

c) the MPC2500 forum is for issues specific to that machine, you understand??
