I am current looking to switch to an mpc setup coming from software. I was wondering do you guys think $1025 is a decent price for a mp2500 with max ram and 80gb hard drive in near mint condition?

I bought mine for $830.00 with maxed ram, and cd/dvd drive. No hard drive, but bought a brand new 160 GB HD for $45.00.

You can buy the max ram on ebay for around $25.00, and 80gb HD for around $70 to $80.00.

I wouldn't pay $1025 for a 2500 though. Good luck on the search.

in england that is a good deal, everything you guys pay we basically pay double! i paid £700 for the 2500 WITHOUT CF card, RAM, CD drive OR hard-drive. it didn't even have the original plug cable! so i basically paid $1,095.15 US dollars (according to the rate of exchange TODAY) for a lot less than you got...

..but i'd still take the advice of these guys i'm just moaning because my country is just about more greedy than yours is...

i'll tell you how i go about it...

i look in the most expensive places to live..
ie conn.
maine
etc..
usually those places are very well kept and u are more than likely going to get a machine that has been tooken care of..

i buy from gc used list all the time,,,granted im not afraid of getting something thats totally phukd,,i'll fix it myself,,but look in the wealthy areas first is all..

edit....them bastirds are already rich and dont need that extra dollar either,,so they sell for 740..haha.
