2500 + Pro Tools 6.7 I dont think im asking right Qs

Hey, this is a great forum and I've learned a lot of stuff from it, but I'm trying to do something and I'm not sure if
1. I know how to word my question correct.y
2. If it's possible to do what I want.

First, my set up
1. MPC 2500
2. Fantom x6
3. Mbox 1
4. Pro tools 6.7.
5. MOTU 2x2 MIDI interface

Ok, what I want to know is, can I set up pro tools to where each individual pad will have it's own MIDI track in Pro Tools. So that when I record, the kick, snare, hats and everything else will appear on different tracks instead of the same. I know how to do this using the "record the kick on this track, then record snare on this track" type of method, but I want to know if I can set it up to where I don't have to do different tracks each time - I want them to pop up on their respective tracks after playing it only 1 time.

Another way to ask this same question - can I play the MPC and have pad 1 have it's own track, pad 2 have it's own track, pad 3 have it's own and ect. I want to be able to record ONE TIME with everything popping up in different tracks instead of the same one.

It's not really stopping my workflow, but it would be nice to be able to record stuff and then not have to move all the notes to different tracks.

I wouldn't know the correct terms to search for this, so please don't respond with 'do a search'.

I see what you're saying, but I don't want it for audio. I want it for MIDI. I'm not able to set up each pad to send to a different channel?
Pad 1 - Channel 1
Pad 2 - Channel 2
and so on?

Because I can see on my Pro Tools mixer that I have MOTU Fast Lane A - channel 1 - 16. Then at the top I have an 'all channels' option. I've been using the all channels option because I wouldn't know how to set each pad to different channels. There's gotta be a way to do what Im asking. I know with my fantom, I have to select 'channel 1' to play the patch on the first track in the keyboard's mixer. Then I have to select channel 2 to play the second patch - know what i mean?

If push comes to shove, I can just keep doing it the old fashioned way. But, it suuuuure would be nice to be able to do it the way Im trying to haha.

This is just for my project studio. I can always do the audio tracking at a bigger studio, so I'm not really worried about that. I just want the sequences to be in pro tools. It's easier to deal with. I like clicking with the mouse and moving stuff around if I have to.

this is how i record from my asr
i record my drums all on one track now in my daw i know which keys go where for my drums so i split em up into track kinda like the mpc recording on different tracks but i just copy and paste so at first i had track 1 kick snare toms hats everything now in my daw i have channel 1 kick channel 2 snare channel 3 toms channel 4 hats
i use the hardware to mold and the software to finish

yeah thats how I do it too, but I wann be lazy and not have to do it like that haha. but, yeah i know what u mean.
