so in the step edit, how come you can only fine point edit till 1.01.95? im talking about the .95. when you scroll right any more than that or want to put in any value such as .96,.97,.98,.99, etc. it just skips straight to the next downbeat ie 01.02.00. ? i just need to move my shit as accurate as possible.

why wouldn't it be 100 till the next quarter note? its just weird that it would start at 0, and end at 96?
no wonder quantize 1/8th notes are .48 instead of .50.

so a perfect 8th note would be at .48 instead of .50? that is so weird..

aiite, i think i got it. there are 96 edits in each quarter note. i think they did this because 96 is dividable by 2 (1/8thnote), 4 (1/16thnote), 3 (1/8thnotetriplet), 6 (1/16thnotetriplet), etc. it makes the dividing without any decimals.
you may ask why im analyzing, but my major is violin. i got the music theory down, chord prog, scales, rythms, but im trying to see how this all applies to what goes on an mpc screen via step edit.

basically, doubling the resolution, making it 192 ppq (parts per quarternote)

Yeah, if you double tempo and play half time, quantising at 1/8 is actually quantising 1/16, quantising at 1/32 is actually 1/64 :)
