Now field not appearing on sequencer main page any ideas?

Hi peeps am new to MPC 2500 infact mpc in general so please forgive my greenness

I have read through the pages regarding the sequencer page and recording and playing back a sequence and have noticed that the NOW field that appears in the manual is not appearing on my main page / i am also having an issue recording and playing back sequences full stop , im not sure if im just being a pleb or if there is a problem with hardware

any help would be much appreciated

did you buy your mpc new or used? do you know if you are using the official akai os or the alternative jj os?

if you are on the akai os: is there no "now" field on the main screen or is there a symbol looking like a clock at the same place?
if you see the clock then move the cursor to that field and turn the data wheel to switch between timing based on bars and timing based on time (hours,minutes, seconds, frames). the time based timing is often used if you make music for film or tv to get a better overview where you are in the composition.

if you are on the alternative os you´ll be better of asking in the dedicated forum part. or look at the screenshots of the mainscreen of that os if there is a now field to be seen.

i purchased my mpc second hand altho virtually new, its only a few months old.
It has the jj os 2 version 1.22 installed on it

will look on the jjos section
