I've done a few searches and found a few posts about this, so I know it's not a unique problem with my mpc, but today I had the problem where hitting one pad will trigger some of the others. So far I've reinstalled the OS, and reinitialized the mpc, but no luck. It was working absolutely fine last night, and I do not gig with the mpc. Have there been any known successful fixes, or is replacing my pad sensors the only other option?

Also, can someone confirm that all the lights turn on when you power up your 2500? I'm not sure, but I think that's what's supposed to happen as it boots up and showes the splash screen. None of my LEDs light up, so maybe knowing that will help me narrow down the problem (or at least explain it to VST Service if I plan to send it in for repairs).

on a normal power up there are only two buttons lit after the mpc shows the main screen - the bank a button and the window button.
maybe other buttons can be lit if your machine loads a custom autoload, not shure about that.

Really? I could've sworn I remembered all the lights going on at startup. I don't know, maybe I'm mixing it up with the 2000XL (if the XL doesn't, I must REALLY be going nuts). Anyway, thanks Jo; I guess my mpc is booting up as it should. I was hoping that my issue wasn't anything more than a pad sensor problem.
