CHECK THIS OUT!

To my knowledge the following only works with the AKAI OS. I am using AKAI OS 1.23

I don't know if this has already been discovered or discussed but this could possibly be the start of figuring out how to edit the OS, I don't know. I just found it to be very interesting! Anywho hit MODE + PAD 10 and then press F6 four times and watch what happen's Anybody else know of any unusual tricks for the 2500.

that is neat! Is that in the manual or did you figure that out yourself?

The 2000xl has a hidden screen too but it doesn't do that. it is for testing the ram, the pad sensors and general troubleshooting diagnostics etc.

No offense! JJ has done an excellent job as far as upgrading the OS but From reading up on it I don't know if i would call it FLAWLESS! I probably should try it, but I am content with the Akai OS. As stated before I do not breathe and sleep my MPC. so therefore I am no where near to being a DIE-HARD user. Not saying that I don't LOVE MY MPC But When you have a JOB, FAMILY, SCHOOL and Juggling HOES (LOL) it's definitely not a priority, I wouldn't mind trying the JJOS but sometimes I can be a cheap SOB!

Free JJOS, JJOS1 and JJOS2 are all flawless. The systems on those are not buggy and they are fast when chopping or just getting a beat done. The workflow is great in comparison to the Akai OS.

Im a full time college student, I work full time and I have a girlfriend... Its rare I touch my MPC cuz of my busy school semesters. I get atleast 1 beat done a month but summer for me is a week away! I cant wait to jump on my MPC again.

The beginning process of all the JJOS's are buggy and its like running a beta but JJ did updates constantly and the work done on the OS I mentioned are done. I have no say so on the JJOS2XL though cuz I have never used it. It has more than I need.

So yeah if you look in the past there was alot of people reporting bugs but these are bugs that got fixed.

Also you alot of people asking question on the OS and the reason why is because you can do so much more on the JJ systems than the Akai OS so I can see where you would think that.

Im glad I bought the JJOS's early in its stages though cuz it was cheap then. Now I would say its expensive...

If I bought another 2500 though I would still buy JJOS2 for it. lol
