Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

It would be so much easier to play out if I had a mixer-style case, like maybe one with the 10U slant-top and 2 or 4U of vertical space. Then I could have it protected during travel and already have the racked FX units I use attached and ready. I'd just take off the lids and plug into the mixer and be set. I only worry that it might not be sturdy enough for all of it's weight attached to just those few spots. Any advice?

instead of just using the four screwholes of the plastic side panels you could screw the whole mpc onto a metal tray like the ones used to rack gear which is only half the size of normal rack gear.
e.g. the fmr rnc and rnla are half space units but there is a tray aviable to fit two of them into a rack.
