trimming samples in the 2500? pad play?

when you trim a sample in the 2500 the pads are set like its on note off.

in the 2000XL when you trim a sample the pads are set like its in mono, so you dont have to hold the pad down. you can just keep tapping it and trim.

is there a way to get the 2500 to do that in the trim screen? i've been lookn and have found nothing. i like trimming the sample better with the pads set to mono, rather than note off.

and yes, the sample is assigned to a pad in programs and set to mono, this is only in the trim screen that it does this.

Akai os or JJ?

With JJ some pads will play as note on, some off, and others will play instant reverse. It's nice once you get used to it.

it's got the Akai OS 1.24 for now

most of the pads in the akai os do the same in trim screen, but the top row of pads has some special functions, just look at the little white text above pads 13 to 16.
