Record multiple midi channels at the same time into SEPARATE

I'm trying to record my electribe (has 5 synth channels and 1 drum channel) into my MPC2500 acting as a master sequencer.

The problem is the data is only going onto one track and when i play it back all events get triggered at the same time on the same output channel (all events go to synth channel 1 for instance).

Any way to do what im trying to do?

not possible unfortunately - the 2500 can only record to one track at a time, so you will have to do them one at a time

this is accurate.

on the bright side, the MPC works perfect for OUTPUTTING multiple midi channels from separate tracks, so at least once you're done recording each midi track you're pretty much good to go.
