Contemplating purchasing 2500 from eBay - Some Questions

Hello,

First post... I recently purchased a mint condition technics 1200 from eBay for a really good price and my next purchase is going to be a drum machine... I was originally looking at the 2000 or 2000xl but changed my mind after seeing the 2500... However, I've been reading about pad problems and corrupt files issues regarding this unit and was wondering if this is still an issue, was it a wide spread issue and if so, what OS should I be asking sellers is installed on the unit for best results? I am always iffy about purchasing such expensive items on eBay and want to make sure that I will receive a working unit.... thanks for any and all help, it is really appreciated.

No-one can tell you if your mpcs going to be perfect or not, but make sure the seller says it's in perfect working order, and pay with paypal. If for whatever reason it isn't right, you can open a dispute, and get your money back, but not unless it is 'not as described'.
be sure to check it thoroughly when you get it.
I got mine off ebay, and it's totally cool. got none of the known issues. it had only been out of it's box long enough to baffle it's owner, until he put it back in it's antistatic wrapper & box, so as new & less than 1/2 price.

cd drive & internal HD are fairly useful too.

why not wait until after xmas, when 'everyone' is selling unwanted presents & older models, & trying to recover financially? less people buying = cheaper prices. maybe.

I actually just opened another thread with questions about connecting the mpc... I purchsed the 'bible' but still am a bit confused... if you could help me, that'd be great, if not, all good... thanks again man.
