Restart when resampling akai os 1.24

When resampling the main outs the 2500 will reset itself and of course erase all ram. This happens every time when enabling record then playing a seq to capture the seq as a sample. This happens with a 4 bar seq that has one q event opening a filter and 1 program with a short looped sample, meaning a single cycle waveform.

It will play the seq close to the end then will glitch then restart itself, the LCD will show basic startup 64mb of ram etc. Thinking that it could be the ram in the machine, but sampling the analog inputs doesn't cause this problem, to my knowledge at least.

Also when the reset happens the main screen shows the program being used as a question mark. Only after powering down does it show as program 1 on the main screen. I have powered on while holding erase to clear to defaults, and I have reloaded akai os 1.24 to no avail. There is an 80 toshiba inside the machine, and 64 mb of unknown Ram since I did not install it, it was purchased from eBay this way.

Any help is appreciated. This sounds like a problem A few others have run into with their 2500. And again this is when very little memory is used, basically 1 1 second sample is being used.

I am having a very similar issue and just posted a new topic on it.

I just acquired my 2500 and the same thing happens, but the reset seems much more random then your problem. It will randomly reset and clear all RAM when building a program or I think once when I was recording a sequence. The issue occurs with the standard 16 mb and the AKAI expanded 128 mb RAM at 1.24 and with JJ OS 3.10.

Anyone with help on this. Bueller, bueller?
