quality of builtin compressor

What can you say about the quality of the builtin compressor in master effects in MPC2500? Is it comparable to quality hardware compressors or it's better to turn it off and use another compressor later on during mastering?

What do you think of it? When you use it, does it give you the sound that you are trying to achieve?

I try not to use compressor until the mastering stage, but just wondering is it better than for example a software VST compressor from Waves?

Objectively speaking, is it a good compressor? Not really. But (like many 'bad' compressors) its great for making drums bump.

I leave it off, as it lacks the quality that my channel strip has. But the real questions was listed above... do YOU like it..? there's no right or wrong here...
