hello,

I am familiar with mpc2000xl and i like it very much, but this "direct record"-feature of mpc2500 looks very interesting, but I still can't get behind it.

for me, when using the mpc live, it is very important NOT to have to stop the sequencer...this leads to my question:

the sequencer plays and you can use direct record to sample directly into your sequence, but what happens when you stop direct recording, i.e. when you are done sampling?? does the sequencer stop, too? ...or can you assign the recorded sample to a free pad, while the sequence is still playing?

btw:
This is a feature Ive never found in any drum/sequencing-machine! Because i think this would be the essential feature for any groovebox: Real-time sampling / editing without stopping the sequence... does anyone know a (stand alone-)machine, that can do this?

thanks, peace
