Hey ya'll i've got a small issue maybe someone can help me out with. My CF drive broke so I got an internal HD put in my MP. I got all my beats and sounds on the HD no problem. I create folders and save no problem but if i return to a saved beat and try to save all programs and samples and save all seq and songs it won't save it. Thats how I would save before so I don't know why it isn't working now. It will actually save the samples to the folder but not to the program and sequences. Do I have to rename them or something? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I've had 2 different HDs in my MP & both have worked 100% fine in themselves, no renaming or anything like that, just the same as a CF Card. The first was out of an old 20GB iBook & the second was a bit bigger, an Hitachi 80GB.

The only trouble I had was early on, I was using an earlier buggy AkaiOS, think it was 1.23. But after that no probs with JJ and I think 1.24 may have actually worked too. I understand it all gets a bit messy once you go over 80GB though.

If you say your CF reader is broken & you are returning to previously saved beats & going from there, then were you reading off your CF from a computer & then piping it to your HD? Maybe there could be an issue somewhere along there. Like Vista being arsey, giving it a stamp of Micro$oft Un-approval.

Perhaps a reload of your MPC OS & a Reformat?

May be an idea to post your OS version and the drive details. Some one may just have a bit more insight into those kind of things.
