my mpc is screwed, any advice?

I just updated with the new jjos3.10 from 3.09 to see if my problems were software related but i dont think they are since the mp is still causing problems.. only had it about a year and a half.. some pads dont pick up at all, sometimes hitting one pad triggers another pad, sometimes the sample plays a few seconds after hitting a pad, i cant scroll between programs on the main screen using the wheel, cant go into menus that easily.. just loads of stuff going wrong and not working basically.. i unscrewed the top off the other day but had trouble getting it totally off.. didnt see much dust in there, but where iv been living is quite dusty and i wouldnt be suprised if thats got in there and is fkin with the sensors.. does it sound like that or more that the sensors etc need replacing? i cant even write a beat on it.. i only really use the mp for drums but cant even do that.. seems really shitty. any advice appreciated.. peace

Try making sure all the ribbon connectors inside are securely connected. The service manual should help you take it apart. do a search, its been posted here before.

Open it up, and clean it. this happens to me every 6months or so. works every time.
