hi everybody!

I'd like to buy an mpc 2500, the basic version no SE no LE, new not used, full optional, so with:
- EXM128
- CD-M25
- HDM10

ok, my questions are:

1) if I buy the CD-M25, can I be totally sure that this cd drive will be ok with my mpc? because I've read here in the forum that some people have trouble with cd drives..

2) whick type of HD can I mount on the HDM10 slot? I mean, capacity, model, ecc? I've seen that many people have trouble with hard disks too..

3) I'm a bit scared about the many bugs and problems people have with the mpc 2500.. I think that Akai doesn't produce nowadays mpc's solid and well-working like in the 90's, but I don't want to mess with zip, floppy, ecc, so my choice is the mpc 2500, can I stay relaxed?!?

thanks a lor for your attention, I really need some good opinion!!

I own the 2500. It is solid. You don't need the cd drive, you can record into your daw and burn it that way.

I bought a seagate laptop 120gig drive which works perfect (still works perfect after 4 years).

Get the JJOS.
I've used JJOS since 2007 and the big thing is that JJ constantly updates the JJOS, fixes any bugs and make new additions. If a new JJOS version introduces a bug then you just use the older version till it's fixed (usually within days). New additions are added per user requests. It's the best ongoing support ANY hardware has ever had!
