Program Load Issues

Hey, I just recently bought a Akai MPC 2500 from craigslist and the only issue im having is loading my sounds onto the MPC as a program. I bought a Maxell CF card from Frys and formated it through the MPC. I Connected the USB to my mac and loaded up my wav. drum kits into a folder and dragged that folder to my CF Card drive. I safely removed the usb and hit mode upload. The problem is, when I try to upload the folder, it says uploading but when I go to my sequence and scroll through the programs, I dont see that folder name. How can this be resolved, please help me. Thank You

Did you also have Akai MPC 2500 programs on your Mac that you copied over to the CF card on the MPC?
If not then all you have is wav files that need to be built into programs on the MPC. That is, there wont be any programs using your wavs until you make some.

Generally, you assign a sample to a pad via a program, then set a particular track of the sequencer to use that program.

after you´ve uploaded your files to the cf-card you have to load it from there into the ram.

if you load a entire "folder" into the ram the "folder" will not be there! there will only be all the contents of the folder, e.g. all samples, seq, mid, prg and so on!

if you did´t download or made programs on your computer all the samples are not assigned to a program in program mode like dawk said.

if there were prg included with your folder of samples, then they should show up in the main screen pgm field if you turn the data wheel.

if you cannot see anything in the memory then double check if the samples are 16bit/44khz and do not have very long file names.
