Hello.
I’m having problems with Akai MPC2500 pad’s sensors.
At the moment none of the 16 functions…
I measured the sensors resistance with a multimeter and got for the top row differente values for each one among around 60 to 100 kohm.
Second, third and fourth rows gave consistent values of 20 Kohm.
All the 16 pads react to pressure and lower progressively to 10 Kohm when pressed.
I don’t know if these values are good and the service manual also doesn’t mention it.
Can you help me with this problem or point it to someone with this kind of information or experience?
Have the JJ OS installed on the machine. The sensor plate is labeled SENSITRONICS.
Thanks and best regards.

It seems that many of the Rev 1, and Rev 2 Sensitronics pad sensors were problematic. I just had to replace my Sensitronics pad sensors because pads 9-16 stopped working. The repair guy had just received new rev 3 pad sensors from AKAI. I am hoping that AKAI has realized the problem and has fixed in it in this new revision.

Thanks for the answer, bpert.
I just want to make sure that the problem are the sensors before order a new set of sensors.
Any information about ohmic value of sensors will be appreciated.

How can you tell which rev, is it printed on the sensor somehwere ?
