What to buy with my MPC

Dear members,

I'm bout to buy myself a MPC2500 in the next couple of days. I just want to make sure that i buy everything that i want at once so that i don't have to drive 5 times to the music store.

All i want is this:

-I want to hook my MPC2500 to my Mbox 2 mini so that the sound will run thru my monitors.
-I want to connect my midi-keyboard to my MPC so that i can trigger sounds from Logic into my MPC.

That's it, which cables will i need for this?

you can run your mcp directly throu your monitors actually... and hear the logic sound when you are in rec mode on the mpc...
this way you record everything in the mpc.
or you can send the mpc sound to the m-audio via 1/4 audio cable, in order to register everything into logic.
you need two 1/4 audio cable (classic cable for guitar or bass you see...) whatever you choose.
if you register everything in the mpc i suggest you 2 s/pidf cable, it's digital and you'll not loose quality.

for the midi keyboard if it supports midi (and not only usb) you need a midi cable to connect it to the mpc (mpc midi in - midi keyboard midi out). if it doesn't you'll connect that to the computer...
to pass the midi signal from the mpc to the m-audio you need a second midi cable (mpc out - audio interface in), and to record the midi signal into the mpc you need another midi cable (mpc midi in - audio interface out).

so basically i would buy at least two 1/4 audio cables and 3 midi cables...

but actually best thing is to buy 4 audio and 4 midi cables anyway, you'll need those for sure one day...

But now since the renaissance is coming out, i think i might hold my 2500 purchase off for a while

like to hear that, i don't think i'll never go hybrid as long as i have to stay on a pc monitor the hole day at work, but i love akai and i'll be happy if the company runs fine!

You are right about that, but that's the beauty of Renaissance. They give you the option wether to look at your PC monitor or the old fashioned LCD-screen...did i already mentioned that i love AKAI?
