new to the game! any pointers

wuuzup everybody
im trying to figure out how to get started
in place everyone starts at. ton of ideas
but dont have the keys to the space ship to hop in and fly

not looking to be baby fed
but some how to get started tips would be str8

as well as learnin how to navigate threw this site.

and props to all that no this monster (2500) inside out.
i to will have that ichigo sword one day.....

but for now
im sifting for the right metal to get started.....

check out the manual, also the e-books up at the mpc tutorial section found at the top of the screen...

check through the mpc 2500 section for threads that strike interest and read some of the issue threads because sometimes there is an answer.. and who knows, you may run into it some day so knowing will help you right off the bat.

also, check the studio environments section of the forum to see some stuff, get ideas.. it might open your eye to things you hadn't thought of on your own.

lastly, check out the beat making vids from the mpc tv thread.. that should be found in the studio environments section too.. but if not then search for it.

get the free version of jjos, you'll want Global Program Edit, follow the tips above, and just explore your machine, you wont make beats right off jump, it takes time so learn the ins and outs of the gear so you don't sound one dimensional

ive been on youtube for the last month studyin up and taking notes.
peeped a few dvds and even called akai haha...

mad that i started with maschine. happy that i ended up with the 2500

after 19yrs in the dance scene..its time switch it up alittle
off jump! i see this is 10 times as hard.

i wonder what i will no in a year!

Your going to have to hot wire the ship like every body else.

I can give you this though. Always keep an open mind in the advancement of tools used to make your music. Nothing is off limits.

After the advice these guys gave me i got sounds on a few buttons after reading the quick start...then jumped right n2 the manual. I no how to record now but not how to save...so its back to the books for now

it's gonna come quick... just make sure 2/3 of the time is spend on the machine and 1/3 of the time reading during the learning process.. check every single menu on the machine as well.

I tryed to chop a full song and it took almost 10min in 1.4
Is jj better with chop time or you just dont chop full songs?
