MPC 1000 HD transplant to MPC 2500.

I just got a 2500 to replace my 1000. My 1000 has a 90 gig HD. I wonder if anybody knows if I could successfully perform a transplant my HD from the 1000 to the 2500 If so, is the HD adapter the same for both the 1k and the 2500?

Both models use the same type hard drives and HDM-10 adaptor. Swapping drives should be no problem at all.

Success!! Come to find out my new 2500 had a 40 gb had disconnected inside what a good day. Now all I gotta do is get my JJ os poppin off in my 2500 and I'm good!!

Switching your HD from to 1000 to the 2500 requires u to format the disk first before the 2500 will be able to recognize and use it.
So back it up first, switch, format and write.

It didn't require a format when I did it.
