Special Edition installing a hard drive

hi all. just about to get myse
lf the special edition 2500 in a local swap. it is unused so won't have an hard drive I assume. do I need to buy any special bits to hold the drive in or is it all in there? I have a ide drive for an old emu ultra sampler that I could maybe use. it is loaded with emu format samples, would the akai read these at all? many thanks for your time. I look forward to getting into the mpc scene

2500 SE has the hdm-10 kit preinstalled so you just need the right type of HD. Doubt that it reads emu ultra formatted HD (if it's somehow different).

You should backup the drive and format it right on the actual MPC before you use it.
