mpc 2500 program trouble

I've made a bunch of programs on my computer using "mpc pad 187" but when i try to load them in my mpc 2500, it won't load and says "wrong file".

I can't figure out what the problem is, except the soundfiles I used for my programs were aif-files and I changed them to wav-files. (because mpc pad 187 only reads wv-files).
could this be it? something else?

Your samples may be in 24 bit, which cannot be read by the MPC. Make sure that the files are in 16 bit & 44100Hz Wav files and also check the file names are 16 characters or less as well.
