Okay, so I am a software artist here in Washington DC. I have been using software for about three years when making instrumentals and now Iam shifting. One day, I saw a video with Kanye using an MPC (cliche of a new mpc user) and began my research about two years ago on MPCs. I have read and heard numerous debates of MPC vs. Maschine blah blah blah and I finally took the plunge.
I looked on ebay and saw that NI maschine's value after use is incredibly diminished (on average used Maschine's are sold for $150). Then I saw the MPCs and it seemed as if they held their value. So, I bought an MPC 2500 for $799 on ebay. Iam going to implement it in Logic Pro 9 because I want to make the beats in the MPC and add finishing touches with VSTs on Logic every once in a while (I primarily want to learn the MPC itself).
Can anybody tell me what to expect before the machine gets here on Wednesday
