MIDI issuesber

Wassup MPC fam? I got some more stuff off Ebay and now I;m having a prob!! hopefully somebody can answer me and please don't tell me to read the manual!! lol! anyway here goes... I just got a Novation Ultranova!! it sounds great! buuuuuuut when I hooked it up to my 2500, things got funky!! I recorded a pass in the sequncer. cool. when I went to change the sound on the Ultranova, the sequence number changed!! WTF? I have the MIDI in/out going to in 1 and out port A. this happened to me with my Juno-D and my Alesis Ion.... WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???? thnx

Maybe look at disable "Local Control" on the synths as far as their MIDI settings. I'm sure others can offer more details if that is in fact the issue. But it's probably a starting point to trouble shoot.

The expert title they put on your avatar here can be got just posting jokes in Off Topic enough times, so it may not be an accurate description of me.

But even if it's not that it would be one thing to scratch of the list as you try top sort it out.

yeah tried the local on/off thing already. with it off you can't make a sound from the synth. and no MIDI is rec'd on the MPC. but thnx
