Hello all, been lurking the forums for a while, thanks for all the useful info.
I recently purchased a used MPC2500 and an 8GB CF card. The MPC works perfectly with the card (both in the AKAI OS and in JJOS) but I cannot for the life of me get my computer to read it via USB.
I have tried both a Mac and a Windows PC and at best I was able to see the CF card but not copy anything/access it. At worst it simply doesn't show up and the MPC freezes while in USB mode. This behaviour happens both with AKAI OS and JJOS.
I know that the MPC supports cards up to 4GB by default, could this be the problem (even though the MPC itself reads it)? Are there any known issues with USB? Would be great to get it working.
