Its my first time im doing this forum thing so sorry if I dont put this in the right section or whatever.
So i've been f*cking around with the mpc 2500 for a couple months now..
I really like the work flow and the fact i dont have to use my PC for making the beats all the time. Oh yeah i have the free JJOS version installed on it.
How ever tho... I can't seem to get this chopping thing right.
I mean a 16 bar sample is easy to chop into little pieces and assign them to the pads.
I'm used to slice up my samples with FL studio and chop like 30 sec to 1 minute of a sample to very little slices (every kick, every snare) so i can really use every sound i hear in a sample. Or so that i can use different pieces of a song. Most of the time i still end up using a small part of it but I like to have the whole sample sliced up so i can use it if needed.
Now is it me? Or is chopping up a longer sample on the MPC a real f*cking pain in the b*ttcrack?? I don't want to use auto-chop because, well... Like i said i want to be able to use every part of the sample.. plus when you auto-chop a longer sample the slices are never at the right place anyway.
Is there any way to make this easier/faster? Or is there no other option then to chop the whole sample manually?
