Hard disk not reading

The hard disk now comes up as empty (hard disk is listed but folders/files are not visible) in LOAD. When I try to save something on the hard disk it says 'System Error!!!'

The 'RAM installed' prompt at the start now takes longer to disappear when I switch on the mpc.

Memory card reads fine.

I'm thinking maybe reinstall the hard disk, retighten screws etc..

I think maybe, physically disconnect everything and put it back, then try again. Costs nothing and can be done without purchasing anything. Afterwards, look into other options if things still aren't right?

Yeah & if your still having trouble try taking the RAM & HDD out & putting it back again.
Making sure the connectors are ok. I had a similar problem with mine & it turned out one of the connector pins had been pushed in.

So I took out the HDD and out it back in. The problem is gone. However, the 4 screw holes on the HD doesn't sit right on the screw holes on its frame, so the HD isn't screwed to its frame. I'm assuming that's the problem and I'm probably going to experience problems again.'
