Polyphony ISSUES

Hey guys, I perform beats live on the MPC. While I'm still no expert at it, there's a couple things really bothering me. I have a 5000 (which I now know supports 64 voice apparently?) and I just got a 2500. But I have a few beats where I can NEVER get to perform because my main sample (bass, synth, etc.) cuts out when I Play only four pads worth of drums.. Is there any fix to this other than to shorten my sample time? Because they're already rather short.

RAM = sample time, POLYPHONY = # of samples used...polyphony is how many instruments you can have playing...one thing can be done to preserve polyphony is to use mono instead of stereo samples

the busier your samples the more polyphony it's going to eat up

also "mono" instead of "poly" on drums in voice overlap, because TAILS of your samples might overlapping, robbing you out of voices, giving you noting back except headache..
