Is anyone using their MPC 2500 with the TX16Wx sampler/software in any way?

What you wanna know exactly.
I use the TX16W and also played around a bit with the TX16Wx software (which is a monster). I have the 2000 classic.

Peace. Thanks for taking the time.
I wanted to know how affective the software is with the MPC as a controller? Figure I can somewhat replicate the ren in some sort of way.

Wow, I'ma have to follow this thread, as I own both TX16Wx 2 Professional AND an MPC2500 Special Edition, but without having any clue how I can use them together in combination, and thereby utilize them better!:(

I don't mean to hi-jack this post, but I'ma go ahead anyway, as my request is so close to the OP's: Does anyone have any advice/tips/ideas for the best way to hook up the MPC2500 (SE) to my audio interface and make it work in conjunction with TX16Wx 2 (Pro, x64) running in one of my three DAW's/music creation applications, FL Studio 11 (x64), Renoise 3 (x64) or OpenMPT (x64) under Windows 8.1 (x64).

I am not 100% sure what I want the combination to do, that's why I ask so loosely. I'm basically asking for the most useful and efficient MPC2500/TX16Wx 2 setup.

Thanks a million!

Peace.

LOL
No foul... any information on the combination is appreciated.

I was just expecting to be able to chop using the program then control & sequence them into PT using the MPC (midi).
Want to know for sure if this is possible.

I use the MPC in combination with the TX16Wx simply for triggering samples. Sometimes I sequence in the MPC other times I record the MIDI in my DAW (Reaper).

I dont know enough about the 2500 and whats possible but I can imagine that the Q-Link Faders and knobs can send some MIDI messages as well and could be used for setting filterfrequence on the TX16Wx or any other modulation-destination.

^^Nope, not on Akai os. You would need jjos-xl to send CCs from q-links.. and what's a big plus with jjos you can input CCs on 16-channels at once from other controller, basically making it MIDI mixer and VST control - all recordable in MPC. You can also play from splitted keyboard - not a case with original OS as it can only record 1 active channel/track.

Thanks, I needed confirmation on that.
Would like to hear more from everyone on how you are using this combination. Also feedback from anyone using this setup with PT10.

Also will this run through Pro Tools 10?

It is a MIDI device, you can play/control it from a Pro Tools MIDI track, and record it's audio output into a Pro Tools audio track.

TX16Wx is Not showing up as an available instrument.

It will not show up as a software instrument plugin.

You need to set the output of a Pro Tools MIDI track to send MIDI from that track to the computer MIDI output port that is connected to the TX16W.

 You are, I'm not, I missed the 'x', sorry. :Sigh:

It is VST and AU, not RTAS, I think, so will not work in Pro Tools directly.

Might be able to run it in a VST to RTAS wrapper, but I'm not sure.
