Audio interface or 8 inpout mixtable?

Hi,
First I'm sorry for my bad english, I'm French !

I have a MPC2500 and would like to record my performances and songs.

-Should I buy an Audio Interface in order to connect my MPC stereo out and Midi in/out ?

-Or should I buy a Mixtable (like Behringer Xenyx X2222) in order to connect the 8 assignable out of the MPC to it and have the possibility to mix, equalize and add effects before recording through the usb cable?

Im gonna guess that budget is a concern and u seem to b looking at stuff in the 300 dollar range. It all depends what u r going for, what u intend to do with ure music. Are u concerned with high quality semi pro level sound or r u just messing about and wanna get some stuff recorded. I use a xenyx mixemultitrack recorderr. but not for tracking or mixing I use it solely as a sketch pad. The efx are pretty useless, the r everbs sound sh it. Some of the delays are slightly usable. The eq s are limited if ure talking about mixing, no adjustable q they r ok if ure just gonna get an idea then use something else to do the work but if I was fully mixing on it id kill myself. Imo the xenyx line is more geared towards amateur and college radio then audio production.
At that price range any mixer is not gonna give u better results than mixing in the mpc and recording the 2 track.

So the way I c it uf u wanna stay at that price range u can either get an interface record the 2 track mix from the mpc outs, or track 2 mono tracks at a time (or as many tracks as u have inputs on ure interface) then mix in the daw of ure choice or explore different recordinh solutions such as digital multitrack recorders

I would suggest...

If you plan to use various outboard/hardware, get a mixer with built in audio/midi interface. Like the digi 003, for example.

If you plan on working and mixing mostly ITB, just get an audio/midi interface with enough inputs for your MPC. Like the digi 003, for example.

Digi 002 is cheaper and also fits into the category of product I'm talking about.
