S 900 + mpc 2500

Hello everyone,

Once again I come for help, I recently bought myself an s 900 that I would love to use to sample my drum and trigger it using midi to my mpc. So basically here's the problem, Let's say i sampled 3 different sound( kick snares and hh) that i must put in 3 different kgrps but when tryna play it from my mpc i only trigger one sound when i would like to be able to play the 3 sound independently on different pads. im kinda lost, im new to the samplers world i would appreciate if anybody could give me a hint !!!

Ps:it kills me coz im actualy able to hear the nice gritty sound that comes out of it but cant use it yet in my songs

This will work with any MPC.

My s900 uses OS 1.2, but I dont have acces to a flopyy drive to computer so im not sure i can change the os i can see theres a rc 232 slot at the back of it which i have no idea what it stands for but to me it looks like an scsi port can it use scsi it wud make my life so much easier.

No this is RS232 not SCSI.
You can use it to swap samples from PC to the 900 IF your PC have a serial port



but IMO thats useless cause I guess the most important reason you use the 900 is for the sound and if you send the sample from PC to the 900 without actually SAMPLE it most of the "s900 sound" is gone.


Now something completly different (your problem with keygroups)

Each keygroup has a "range" of keys/pads and you can assign on which notenumber it will start and end. Since you want to use drumsounds you probably just want to set the range to a single key/pad.
The key/notenumber has to be the same as the notenumber of the pad on your MPC.
