I just bought a new mac and protools to accompany my MPC 2500, and have followed the MIDI configurations from multiple websites and youtube videos, all in which are similar (so I assume I have my wiring correct). I opened the MIDI Studio window then ran the "test setup" to check my midi response in protools only to hear a continuous rapid everlasting MIDI response signal (sometimes it signals randomly). I have my settings in my MPC as well as protools up to par as far as my knowledge, but still the problem persists. I even had an employee from Guitar Center come over and lend his knowledge, but unfortunately he was unsuccessful. If anybody has had or is having the same type of problem please let me know! i could really use the advice!
