Hard Drive - Max Size

I've been searching but can't find this answer.

What's the maximum size hard drive the 2500 can have with JJ OS? Is it still 120GB?

The hard drive capacity is only limited to the hardware. So whether you run the Akai or JJ OS, it won't make a difference.

So is there a max? What is it regardless of OS?

I gotta correct myself. According to the sticky topic in the MPC1000 forum, you'll get different results depending on the OS. A 160gb drive with JJ OS will only read 127gb of it. Wih the Akai OS, it's about 154gb. So I wouldn't go any larger than 160gb. Anything larger may not be compatible at all. Your best bet would just be 120gb. That should be more than enough. When I had my 1000, I installed an 80gb drive and only used about 10gb. By the way, the 1000 and the 2500 have the same CPU, RAM, so drive compatibility should still be the same.
