Hey guys,
Ive been having a problem that been doing my head in. Ive fixing up an MPC2500, as the F4, F5, F6 buttons aren't working. Ive swapped the buttons out for another set and they still don't work. So Im wondering if its a motherboard or possibly even a software.

Its running an old OS (1.21) and Ive tried to update it, but that requires the use of the F6 button to execute.

Any recommendations of what I could try next?

Thanks in advance!

This!
Get the Omron or ALPS brand 6mm x 6mm x 5mm tactile switches.
Do not get the cheap Chinese ones on eBay that come 100 tact switches for a $1. lol

These guys are 100% spot on, you cant just replace the buttons, they are essentially plastic covers for the actual push actuator buttons which are little electronic tact switches on the boards of the mpc electronics themselves. (underneath the plastic buttons) In my experience you can generally tell when they are showing wear and tear as they loose the clicky feeling.
