Sequenced loop is cut off after hitting pads on MPC2500

Here is the situation...Chop up a 4 bar loop, spread across pads, make a sequence, load some drums. After I lay down a loop and let it play, any pad I hit cuts off the samples in the sequence. I don't think this is a mono/poly issue, So basically I can't layer drums over my samples. This only seems to happen with recorded in samples. Not an issue with library samples. I've had an MPC 2KXL for years and never had this issue.

I have a used MPC2500 with JJOS (free) and 128mb RAM. Same issue with OS.

Please advise!

try checking the program and see if its on MONO switch it too POLY


happens to me all the time since im used to the 2000XL

I'm guessin it's a mono issue as well, but just a guess....
There is more than 1 place to set mono / poly..............
Sounds like the program itself is set to mono - Go to program page (of the program in question), look to top right, it should say either mono or poly, if it says mono, change it to poly.
