MPC 2500 shutting down and restarting on its own...

Could be a power issue regarding the psu. Don't forget these machines getting pretty old these days.

Thanks! Ya this was my first guess that it needs a new psu board. The one in it now looks like the factory board, and it has cobwebs, and bugs in it.

Going to replace this, and will give an update in a few weeks. At least this will
narrow down the possibilities as to what this restarting problem is. If not the psu, then maybe it’s the motherboard or screen ribbon cable causing the device to short out, and restart. When it does restart you can hear crackling noises, and the screen will dim in, and out, also it will cause lines in the screen.
