ok im sure these issues have been asked addressed and asked again and again...

So I was always a nay sayer of the 2500 and 1000 (peer pressure i think) but man... what a difference!

now if i can only get them to be as bomb proof as the OG stuff...

1) the damn jog wheel and the clicks!!!!
-whats the best way to fix this & whats the easiest way to fix this? (and do i have to purchase? if so whats the best vs cheapest)

2)buttons... why do you have to push them 1-17 times to get them to work? (ways to fix?)

3) how do i clear the internal memory and the hard drive (load with a gang of wack non sample kits)

4) playing more than one pad at a time???? not sure if there is a easy way to do this but i prefer being able to play a pad or 2 at the same time i am playing another pad vs simply layering the same sound with the same parameters (i do this specifically to my drums... which I have knocking in the 2500 already but i want that self made reverb for even more neighbor annoyance kinda bump)

5)I heard there is amouse option on the mpc 2500? also can you VGA out at all (if this is a dumb question please dont roast me too bad HA!)?

6)how is ghost in the mpc the only dude on the planet that absolutely kills every single custom he touches????? I mean its pricey but the shipping is just extra that I don't feel justified in paying. anybody in the USA doing similar work that has a web page and is professional.

Hence I am using ONLY the Free JJOS...

Ive had my mpc2500 since 2007. So a lot of buttons were broke the factory buttons are pretty cheap and my mode button was jacked. so you can either buy tactical switches and learn how to solder. or....
this which I recommend.
https://www.mpcstuff.com/mpc-2500-right ... pcb-board/
also they have higher quality buttons for sale there. which I did as well and its worth it. Over half of the buttons were cracked or on the verge of breaking. Also a lot of the other questions can be found here.

I think you can hit mode pad 10 in there is a selection on "auto load" internal memory. click no that's a quick way to get rid of the stock sounds. I hope this helps. The 2500 is a good machine. Have fun with that thing! :smoker:

If you go into program mode to the mute group page you can also set up a simultanious play group.

If you connect the MPC to your computer through USB you can manage the files on your HD on your computer as it were an external drive.

Blow out tact switches with compressed air
or
Spray Deoxit into the tact switches
or
Solder in the cheaper and way better quality 6mmx6mmx5mm smaller tact switches from Mouser.com...
OMRON... https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/653-B3W1022
ALPS... https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/688-SKHHAK

And for the 12mmx12mmx4.3mm larger tact switches...
OMRON... https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/653-B3W-4005
ALPS... https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/688-SKQEAD

No mouse or VGA option but you can get a bigger 2500 screen and the JJOSXL.
