Keep sequencer start stop independent of midi clock in slave

Hey,

Is it possible to sync the MPC 2500 JOJOS XL to midi clock without losing the play stop function of the MPCs sequencer? Id like to be able to press play in Ableton live, and not have the sequencer start until I press play on the MPC.

you shouldn’t use midiclock at all for an mpc...that way you loose thr groove and also what you already asked for...instead go for mtc ...there is a maxforlive device with an external program to send mtc from ableton to mpc. you can find it here
