Hi All,

I bought my 2500 second hand on the 2nd of December 2019. I have put together a lot of beats, and made a live set. I have no idea how to better load up the next beat, other than quickly shutting the MPC off and on again. I am sure you guys know this can take some time, so I had the idea to play the wax I sampled before the beat as a kind of 'in-between/loading' song.

Anyway, it is my third time performing this set. I hope someone gets something out of this, or if you have any feedback or tips so I can improve, please comment and let me know. I love my MPC and always would love to improve.

Sorry I wasn't too clear my main questions for anyone who performs live are:

1. Is there a better/quicker way to load up the next beat then turning the machine off and on?

2. Other than the TRACK MUTE screen, or playing a chop live, what else can you really get away with in a performance?

3. What do you fellow MPCer's do while the next beat is loading in a live performance?

4. I had issues programming track mutes in the STEP EDIT menu, so I just had to perform the ones I wanted in the TRACK MUTE screen, any pointers? When I programmed the track mutes and I was in the TRACK MUTE screen it would work but if I went back to MAIN it would stop muting as programmed. Is there a known workaround?

Apologies the first post wasn't clear.

When I rocked the Mpc live I used a kaos pad and 404 to help transition but I also had one big program I would set up, so no loading or turning off the unit. This was also for like 1/2 hour sets not rocking for a hour and a half. I’ll check out your set and see what’s up.

@Cockdiesel How does your MPC hold all your samples for multiple projects in the flash mem? Can you elaborate on this for me I feel a little stupid but I need a bit more info. In some of my song projects, I reach full flash mem on a single song sometimes and I've already upgraded to 128MB. Can I put more flash mem than that into my machine?

Am I right in summarising; you load each different song into a different sequence and just switch between that using the kaoss and 404 to have effects on the end of each song while you switch to the next song/sequence?
