MPC2500
Rumours are spreading of a new Akai MPC2500. We spoke with Numark people at the Summer NAMM show (Numark now own Akai) and they told us to look out for some exciting new Akai products. More recently, a little bird told us that the MPC2500 is indeed a reality and will be unveiled at the forthcoming PLASA Show at Earls Court in London UK (Sept 11th-14th 2005). We will be in attendance to get the full skinny and promise to get some juicy video footage – see you there.

mpc2500 will be the first to be unveiled

Exactly. Numark don't own Akai. he same parent company that is trying to raise Numark and Alesis from the consumer ashes is going to take a stab at Akai, too. Only propblem is, the 2500 seems to be overpriced for what it offers (but it is a DAMN sexy machine, no doubt).

Don't we have enough of these 2500 threads runnin around. Almost everyday I'm seeing 2-3 pop up all speaking on the same thing. Please consolidate and reply on the original mpc2500 thread if you talk the same talk.
