1300-1400 € would be a pretty decent price when hitting Europe... :D

Actually, that price is true for Japan.

MPCs are manufactured in China. The cheapest place to buy them are in Asia...But by the time it hits your country..VAT, USA import taxes, etc increase the price on the unit.

Many Japanese retailers will not ship to the USA due to customs issues. But if you have close ties, they can do it under the table and declare the value of the MPC much less than what is worth to dodge taxes...

In fact, MPC 2000Xl has been going for under $1000 retail in Japan, when they were being sold for $1300-$1400 in the USA.

Korg Triton Studios were going for over $2300 in the USA but onley $1600 in Japan....

English....in facty..practically every major synth released is in English.

I just got finshed checking around on Japanese websites...most of the major retailers will be selling the MPC 2500 for $2000. There are some smaller companies that will be selling them for less via mail order.
