I dont see any mention of a pre-order either, yet Nova Musik is still sleeping on it.

There isn't one place in the USA that has the MPC in stock (well there is one place  ).

Akai has yet to finish the English manual for it. Every retailer in the USA are taking pre-orders only. Mid-November is the expected shipping date. $1995 is the about what they will be going for. Do not expect many to be on the shelves.

Sweetwater always lists new gear before they have any idea when they will get it in stock. They also charge at the high end of the range, expecting you to beg them for a deal. Look elsewhere for faster delivery and better prices.

^^^ No doubt! I'm always hunting down the lowest price and haggling the competition to sell for even lower. I'm not ready to buy the 2500 yet, but I'm paying close attention to all the online retailers until it's time to make that move. But I'm also paying close attention to every thread in this forum, so I know what to expect when it comes down to the pros and cons reported here by everyone who puts their best effort towards an honest and unbiased review. I can't help but to keep checking this forum out, but at the same time, I should be making beats (even though I dont wanna come back a week later to catch up on a million unread posts).

If I didn't already have a 2k, I could see going this route... But for 2 grand!? I'd much rather get a used but maxed out 4k (with a real screen and a real sampler).
