if you skip down to page 103 of the manual or 113 on the page counter
in the memory section it say
"Note: The size of the compact flash card that the MPC2500 can Handle is From 32MB to 2GB."

What does this mean????

Surely you are joking? Or you can't read.

It means you can buy and use the size in the range specified. All you want for all you can spend.

thanks cowbell!
on page 81 I found the vel>sampla start field that I asked jahrome about earlier. by hitting the pad harder you can change the playback start point !
great for simulating the sound variation a real drummer can make!

Nice to hear about start point modulation, jocks.
Also, i think i like the grid edit to view and program at different resolutions:

i don't think is do-able on the 1k..... you can also use the q-link slider and knobs to adjust mixer parameters and use them to trim a sample's start and end points. this is great.

can't wait til i get mine.

good lookin cowbell

you are thinking of something completely different. the 128mb of RAM (what you physically install in the MPC) is used to temporarily store samples, seqs, pgms on the mpc and also where the OS resides. the CF card is what you take out of your mpc everytime you stop using it. you know when you save something, it prompts you for location: Internal Memory or Memory Card the internal memory is the 128mb and the memory card is the CF card.
