2500 timing quality???

Hey everybody,

could you please share any info as to timing characteristics of the 2500?

Is it as tight as in the 2K or is it a lil "less tight" as in the 1K?

i know this timing issue is arguable, or many people just dont hear such nuances, but anyway...

As for me - it is one of the most important aspects of the machine:)

Where do people come up with this "the 1k is less tight" shit? Most people claiming this on here just don't know how to properly sync up their MPC.

it'z not the midi clock that's the issue. it's recording notes without t.c. that's the problem. you always need to step edit shit tight.

even akai support have aknowledged the mpc 1000 to be "less tight than our mpc 4000" in phone conversations I have had with them about this issue.
