RAM QUESTION

Does it matter if the RAM you install in the MPC 1000, 2500 is 16x16 or 32x8 ?

I know it's supposed to be CL3 Sodimm 256 mb 144 pin.

this is not to you cre8tive, it's just that you mentioned about ram... i don't see what the big deal is with figuring which ram to get. if a person was told what type of ram to get for a PC would they keep ranting on and on about the physical specs? i mean, bringing it back to us and the mpc, there is a whole thread discussing ram when in fact that thread should have only been 1 page. ram is so cheap now, that if you buy one that doesn't work, just either chalk it up as money lost and lesson learned or just send it back for a different one. this is not rocket science..

i understand ppl want to get the best performance as possible out of their ram but just pick one up and try it.

don't sweat it. just go to the store and ask for the 256mb SODIMM 144 pin and just try that. don't get too caught up in the chipset stuff.

If you want to play it safe, go with the Kingston that's in Antonym's sig...
